About:
The University of Allahabad, informally known as Allahabad University, is a public central university located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established on 23 September 1887, it is the fourth oldest University in India. Its origins lie in the Muir Central College, named after Lt. Governor of North-Western Provinces, Sir William Muir in 1876, who suggested the idea of a Central University at Allahabad, which later evolved to the present university.At one point it was called the "Oxford of the East".On 24 June 2005 its Central University status was restored through the University Allahabad Act 2005 of the Parliament.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}
Candidates should have passed an examination in 10+2 or 11+1 course under a recognized board of education or possess academic qualification recognized as equivalent to 10+2 or 11+1 by the Bar Council of India.
Candidates belonging to general category must secure 45% marksin aggregate in the qualifying examination. For OBC and SC/ST category candidates, the minimum required aggregate is 42% and 40%, respectively.

Candidates seeking admission to the BA.LLB programmes can register through the online mode only by following the below given steps:
Registration: Candidates should log on to the official university website, click on “Apply Online” link and select the desired programme
Fill the Application Form: Candidates should fill the required fields in the application form such as name, address, centre address etc. and upload the scanned copy of candidate’s signature and photograph.
Fee Payment: Next, the candidate will be required to pay the application fee amount of INR 1200 (General candidates) and INR 600 (SC/ ST/ PH category candidates) which is non-refundable
Make Payment: Application fees should be paid through Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking of any bank. Candidates can also pay the fees through Challan from any branch of HDFC bank in India.
Application Form Submission: Candidates are advised to take the printout of filled in application form for future use and submit the application form along with bank challan via speed post at the following address:

Admission Process:
- Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}
- Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and merit list will be prepared according to the marks secured by candidates.
- Candidates qualifying the entrance examination will be intimated for counselling process. Final selection of the candidate is done through counselling.
At the time of counselling process, candidates must bring the following document:
- Admit card of BA.LLB
- Original Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate
- Original High School & Intermediate mark sheet and certificate
- DD of INR 38000/- in favour of “Finance Officer, University of Allahabad” payable at Allahabad
- Caster Certificate
- Certificate of Weight age
- PH and sports certificate
- 4 passport size photographs
