University Of Petroleum And Energy Studies, Dehradun is popularly known as UPES Dehradun. The university was established under the UPES Act, 2003. UPES is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The university is accredited by NAAC with a Grade ‘A’. UPES has sprawling 44 acres campuses in Dehradun, namely UPES Bidholi and UPES Kandoli. As per NIRF 2022 rankings, UPES has ranked 97 for overall and 65 for the University.
UPES offers 20+ industry-aligned and specialized UG and PG programs through its seven schools: School of Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Design, School of Law, School of Business, School of Health Sciences and School of Modern Media. UPES B.Tech is the flagship program offered in 20 specializations. Selection to the B.Tech program is based on JEE Main or UPESEAT conducted by the university. The total fee for the program is INR 15.21 lakhs. The university’s MBA course is also quite popular. Admission to the UPES MBA program is based on CAT/XAT/MAT/UPESMET. UPES MBA Course fee is INR 14.20 lakhs. Further, UPES Dehradun also offers distance learning courses through CCE-UPES Distance Learning Education.
UPES Placement has started its 2022 placement drive. More than 630 recruiters visited the campus. The highest package stood at INR 50 LPA whereas the average package of INR 8.37 LPA was offered to the students. Some of the major recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, Airbus, Boeing, Deloitte USI, Ernst & Young, KPMG, etc. Apart from this, UPES has collaborated with a number of organizations and international universities for industrial and academic activities. It also offers several specializations under B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc, B.Pharm, MBA, B.Des and M.Des programs in collaboration with Microsoft.

UPES Dehradun Course Admission 2023: Selection & Eligibility
UPES Dehradun admissions to all the courses are either entrance or merit-based. UPES is currently accepting applications for all its programme. UPES Dehradun conducts UPESMET entrance exams for admission to the MBA programme. Apart from this, the University accepts UPESEAT/JEE/ SAT for BTech admission. For BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) courses, UPES Dehradun accepts ULSAT/ CLAT/ LSAT entrance exam scores. Besides, UPES Dehradun also accepts UPESDAT, GATE, UPESDAT, UCEED, NID DAT, NEET and UPESPAT national-level entrance tests for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

· Step 1. Visit the official website of UPES Dehradun (www.upes.ac.in). On its homepage, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link to process further.
· Step 2. In the first step of the application form, pay the application fee of INR 1,350 using a debit card/ credit/ net banking through the Paytm/ PayU gateway.
· Step 3. Complete the remaining application process by furnishing academic details.
· Step 4. Upload all the necessary documents along with a passport-size photograph in JPG/ JPEG format.
