About:
The University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and is known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. It was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. The President of India is the Visitor, the Vice President is the Chancellor and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India is the Pro-Chancellor of the University.

Qualifying Examinations :

Qualifying examination for DU admission 2018 to the first year of undergraduate programmes offered by the University of Delhi is the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or any equivalent examination.

Applicants seeking admission to the programmes offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination scoring minimum marks as specified for each of the programmes/ courses.

For some Boards which issue consolidated mark sheets containing marks of both 11th and 12th class, the merit of such applicants shall be determined according to such consolidated mark sheet.

Students have to clear DUJAT for entrance based courses .
Age Requirement :
- There is no minimum age bar for admission to the undergraduate programmes in the University and its colleges except in the programmes where the respective regulatory bodies, such as Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Dental Council of India (DCI), etc. have prescribed the minimum age requirement in their regulations.

The marks so arrived at will then be considered for calculation of ‘Best Four’.

Entrance Exam for Journalism in Delhi University
- The entrance exam for journalism courses will also be conducted at 18 centres across the country including Delhi School of Journalism
- Last year, DSJ had invited applications for its Hindi and English journalism courses for the entrance exam.
Admission Process:
- Registration for the merit based and entrance based courses can be done on the same portal through one application.
- Details of applicant’s marks in the 12th class will be automatically captured by the software from the database provided by CBSE, once a student enters their roll number & other details.
- For admission in sports category, candidates can now submit their three best certificatesinstead of one. These certificates have to be uploaded as three separate documents.
- Five year integrated course in Journalism has been added as a new course to the portal.
Candidates will get Delhi University admission form 2018 only through online mode. Candidates check other details of application form below:
- The university will not provide any facility for DU Registration 2018 through offline mode.
- DU Admission Forms will be available from 15th May 2018 (for UG courses) and 18th May (for PG).
- Candidates can fill the application till the fourth week of May 2018 (For PG), fourth week of May 2018 (For UG entrance based) & fourth week of June 2018 (merit based).
- Candidates can also apply for more than one course in the same application but they have to paid separate application fee for each course.
- During DU Application Form 2018 filling, candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature, self attested ID proof, caste certificate & 10th passing certificate.
- Keep the printout copy of the filled Delhi University application form 2018 for future use.
