About Us
National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2024 will be conducted in around 120 cities across India.

Integrated MSc Program - 5 Years.
Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have cleared the 12th or equivalent in 2022, 2023 or those who will be appearing for the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2024, irrespective of category and age, will be considered to be eligible for admission to the Integrated M.Sc. programme of NISER/CEBS in 2024.

At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized Board in India.

Candidate should secure a position in the NEST 2024 merit list.
Selection Process
The Candidate must appear for NEST 2024 Examination to be eligible for admissions into NISER & UM-DAE-CEBS.
Exam Pattern
Question paper comprises of 4 sections which are Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics.
