About Us

 

The Indian Navy is a well-balanced and cohesive three-dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under the surface of the oceans, efficiently safeguarding our national interests. The Indian Navy is the maritime branch of the Indian Armed Forces. The primary objective of the navy is to safeguard the nation's maritime borders, and in conjunction with other Armed Forces of the union, act to deter or defeat any threats or aggression against the territory, people or maritime interests of India, both in war and peace. Through joint exercises, goodwill visits and humanitarian missions, including disaster relief, the Indian Navy promotes bilateral relations between nations.

 


Course Offered

 

  • BTech - 4 years


Applications are invited from unmarried men and women candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) for becoming Permanent Commissioned Officers in Executive and Technical branches under 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry Scheme after undergoing four year B Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

  • The candidate must be 12th pass or its equivalent from any recognised Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in

  • Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

  • The age eligibility & vacancies for the course are as under:-

  • The candidate must appear for JEE mains 2024 Examination & later for SSB Exam.

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training. Any candidate who is found to be married or marries while under training will be discharged from service and shall be liable to refund full training cost including pay & allowances and any other expenditure incurred on the candidate by the Government.

  • The Candidate must be Physically & mentally fit and the eye sight must be 6/6 correctable if in case he/she weaars specs. For detailed guidleine you can refer the respective website - www.joinindiannavy.gov.in .

 


Selection Process

 

  • The candidate must appear for JEE mains 2024 Examination.
  • The selected candidates will get a call for SSB Examination.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over.

 


Training

 

  • Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Distribution of cadets amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy.

  • The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing.
