About Us
Symbiosis International University (Deemed) - SIU is a multi-disciplinary university offering its students and faculty a vibrant learning ecosystem designed around its multi-cultural and innovative ethos. Symbiosis was established in 1971 by Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, which was a ‘home away from home’ for International students.
Today the university has its campuses spread across four states and 6 cities in India. All the university campuses epitomize the Symbiosis vision, 'Promoting International Understanding through Quality Education' and are a beehive of international students from all across the globe, being privy to Indian culture and hospitality. Recently, the University has established the Symbiosis Medical College for Women. The medical college and its attached Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre have state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities.
About Symbiosis Institute of Design
At Symbiosis Institute of design (SID), students learn how to develop basic know-how and skills making effective use of the sketchbook, explore recording methods, develop visual perception, acquire professional attitudes to set projects and show a critical, contextual and historical awareness in the areas of design.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must have passed 10+2 (any stream) or equivalent OR 10+3 diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education with minimum 50%.

The candidate should possess Creative Aptitude & Skills necessary to pursue Design Education as well as adoptability to the situations, which the profession demands.

Candidates with the relevant portfolio would be preferred.
Exam Pattern
The SEED will be a 60 minutes exam having 60 questions. The questions could be MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension based.
The paper will contain a mix of questions related to Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.
