About the Olympiad
The VedSam National GK Olympiad 2024 is set to be India’s largest online General Knowledge competition, targeting over 1 lakh school students nationwide. Participants have the opportunity to be recognized as India's Champion by demonstrating their extensive knowledge across various subjects. The competition offers prizes worth up to 1 crore INR, including scholarships, electronic gadgets, books, courses, and gift vouchers.
Eligibility Criteria
This is open to all students, divided into appropriate groups.

Sports: Famous Sportspersons, Major Tournaments (Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Cricket World Cups).

Literature: Famous Writers and Books (Indian and International).

Society and Culture: Founders of Religions, Important Religious Books and Places.

Science and Technology: Inventions, Discoveries, Famous Scientists, Basic Concepts of Physics and Chemistry, Astronomy, Animal and Plant Kingdom, Transport, and Communication.

History: Ancient and Medieval Indian History, British Rule in India, Independent India.
Marking Scheme
Section 1: 10 points for a correct answer, -2.5 points for a wrong answer.
Scholars' Section: 20 points for a correct answer, -5 points for a wrong answer.
