About Us
The India Science Festival (ISF) is the flagship annual event of the Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology (FAST India), a non-profit institution of excellence working to enable the transformation of India’s science and technology ecosystem through research and policy, government support, institutional strengthening, corporate sector engagement, and science communication.
India Science Festival is a two-day celebration of science, technology, and innovation. It provides a platform for scientists, researchers, students, and the public to engage in various scientific activities, discussions, and demonstrations. The event aims to promote scientific awareness and curiosity among people of all ages.
Eligibility Criteria
The festival is open to the public, including students, teachers, researchers, and science enthusiasts of all ages. Admission is free, and everyone is encouraged to participate.

Workshop
Get set to dive into the exciting, hands-on workshops at ISF 2025! Spark your curiosity and immerse yourself in the thrill of experiential learning at the festival! From virtual reality to astrobiology, and from genomics to STEM careers, from proving mathematical theorems to studying the fascinating lives of ants, our workshops are all about making science more engaging and fun!
In order to participate in the workshops, please read the following guidelines for registration and attendance:
- Mandatory registration: All participants must register in order to attend the workshops. You can attend only after your participation has been confirmed by the workshop facilitators.

- Single-Day Attendance: Workshops offered on both days of the festival will cover the same content. Participants may register for only one day.

Race Against the Pathogen – an Escape Room
From the Black Death to COVID-19, zoonotic diseases reveal the profound interconnections between humans, animals, and the environment. Discover how factors like deforestation, climate change, and the close human-wildlife interface contribute to these spillovers—and how we can prevent future outbreaks.
Become an outbreak investigator in this interactive escape room and unravel the crisis of a mysterious pathogen to save humanity! Work through a thrilling, puzzle-filled storyline to identify the pathogen, trace its origin back to patient zero, and piece together clues to understand its spread. Each challenge mirrors real-world outbreak investigations, offering insights into host-pathogen interactions, disease management, and the importance of rapid response and communication.
Science Quiz
A science quiz that brings science to life in front of our eyes. Every question in the quiz will be about how Science has made our lives better, making it more efficient and will be in the future. Other than the usual ‘quiz’ where direct questions are asked, there will be highly interactive and engaging rounds where even the audience are involved. Not only do the finalists onstage get prizes, but those in the audience can raise their hand, and shout out an answer and immediately get rewarded. But the spotlight is round #3. where 6 scientific experiments are performed onstage by the participants themselves!
