About Us
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in various Central Universities for Academic session 2024-25 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas, and help establish better connections with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
Central Universities or Union Universities in India are established by an Act of Parliament and are under the purview of the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education. In general, Universities in India are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which draws its power from the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
The Role of NTA is confined to the registration of candidates, the conduct of the test, hosting of answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing answer keys, preparing and declaring results, and hosting Score Card.
Eligibility Criteria

For appearing in the CUET (UG) - 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12th /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age can appear in the CUET (UG) - 2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfil the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.

For the year of appearance in the Class 12th / equivalent examination, relevant conditions of Universities / Institutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective Universities / Institutions.

Exam Pattern
CUET (UG) paper is mainly divided into 3 Sections –
-
SECTION 1 – Languages
English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu & Urdu. -
SECTION 2 – Domain Specific (Subjects that you have studied in Class 12th)
Accountancy/ Book Keeping, Agriculture, Anthropology, Biology/ Biological Studies / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry, Business Studies, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Computer Science/ Information Practices, Economics/ Business Economics, Geography/ Geology, History, Home Science, Knowledge Tradition and Practices of India, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics, Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, Music), Physical Education (Yoga, Sports), Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit & Sociology. -
SECTION 3 – General Test
General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts Arithmetic / Algebra / Geometry / Mensuration / Statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
General Aptitude Test will be conducted:
1 - For all the remaining languages including Foreign Languages (i.e. (Arabic, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri , Nepali, Persian, Russian, Santhali, Sindhi, Spanish, Tibetan and Sanskrit).
2 - For domain-specific subject/paper on Entreprenurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies and Engineering Graphics.
NOTE –
> Candidates may choose upto a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test irrespective of the subjects opted in class XII.*
> MARKING SCHEME - Correct Answer: 05 marks (Five) ,There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer of 01 (one) mark.
> *Candidates may select the subjects based on the eligibility criteria for a programme of a desired university. Each course in each University has it’s own Exam Pattern, kindly cross check once before applying.
How to Apply

The candidates must register themselves online on the respective website.

The candidate must pay the Registration Fees – Rs 1000 (upto 3 subjects) & additionally Rs 400 per subject.

The Candidates may choose upto a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test.
