About Us
Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) was established by the Government of India at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research. Over the years, the IISERs have been successfully attracting talented young minds. An overarching goal of the IISERs is to enable students to shape the nation by inventing and implementing sustainable solutions for societal problems through research in science. This is being achieved by our faculty of international repute together with bright students. In a short span of time, the IISERs have generated an incredible amount of intellectual property in the form of publications and patents.
Course Offered
IISERs offer admission into courses leading to
-
BS-MS Dual Degree Programs for science students at all IISERs.
-
5-Year BS-MS (Dual Degree) program in Computational and Data Sciences (offered only at IISER Kolkata).
-
4-Year BS Degree program in Economic Sciences (offered only at IISER Bhopal).
-
4-Year BS Degree program in Economic and Statistical Sciences (offered only at IISER Tirupati).
-
4-Year B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Data Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (offered only at IISER Bhopal).
Eligibility Criteria
-
The candidate must be from a Science Stream with any of these three subjects - Physics, Chemistry Mathematics/ Biology.

The candidate must be 12th pass or equivalent with minimum 60%.
Admission Process
The Candidate must appear for IISER Entrance Test – IAT 2025.
