About Us
Young Entrepreneurs’ Boot Camp (YEB) at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus is a 6-day long residential program for school students (Grade 9 to 12 or equivalent) designed to give a glimpse of technology driven innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem at BITS Pilani.
It will enlighten and actively engage the participants about various aspects of entrepreneurship through talks, workshops and visits to state of the art facilities at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. The talks will be delivered by eminent professors, entrepreneur’s, scientists, innovators and our distinguished alumni. The students will also get an opportunity to showcase their innovation and entrepreneurial capabilities via “BITS Pilani YEB Innovation Pitching Challenge”.
About the Program
The program will have a design thinking approach to help the young creative minds build an innovative product and develop a business model around it through - A guided tour around Goa to identify and realize real life challenges - creativity (root cause analysis) and role play and identifying the relevant problems that worth addressing from the perspective of business impact; primary research through innovative modes of communication; secondary research, building a value proposition, target market/consumer segmentation and brainstorming on possible solutions and reaching convergence towards those that are commercially feasible: brainstorming feasibility analysis; costing and pricing models. Developing a prototype: as piece of art/craft/content/website/app/etc.; minimum viable product-MVP.
Eligibility Criteria
Student must be a school student in Grades 9 to 12 (or equivalent), passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship.
Selection Process
Round 1: Essay Submission
Applicants are required to write two short essays, each between 100- 150 words-
- Favorite Indian Start-up Founder
- Over-tourism in Goa
These essays will be evaluated based on content, creativity and clarity.
Round 2: Online Group Discussion
Candidates shortlisted from the essay submission will participate in an online group discussion. Applicants can select a group discussion. Applicants can select a group discussion slot that fits their schedule to avoid conflicts with exams.
This two-round selection process aims to assess applicant’s analytical thinking, creativity, and communication skills, ensuring a cohort of motivated and innovative participants for the boot camp.
How to Apply
The Application fee for the program is Rs. 500 per student and the subsidized fee for YEB 2025 (6-day program) is Rs. 20,000 per student. This fee is inclusive of accommodation, meals, access to campus facilities (like gym, sports etc), access to YEB lecture sessions, access to YEB hands-on sessions.
