About Us
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech., B.Des., BS, M.A., M.Des., M.Tech., M.Sc., MBA and Ph.D. programmes.
Course Offered
BS Biomedical Sciences & Engineering (4 years)
A key feature of the program will be the clinical immersion experience, allowing students to gain firsthand knowledge from leading surgeons and medical practitioners.
The program will include learning in collaboration with AIIMS Guwahati and NIPER Guwahati.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to students who appeared for Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology and have secured a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in these subjects.
Admission Process
Students who have qualified the IISER Aptitude Test 2025 are eligible to apply.
