About
St Joseph's College, Bangalore was founded in 1882 by the Fathers of the French Foreign Mission. It is one of the oldest colleges in the state of Karnataka with a history of more than 135 years. It has been conferred as College of Excellence by the University Grants Commission. The college is awarded a rating of A++, in the re-accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2017.
St Joseph's College, Bangalore offers BA, B.Sc., B. Com, BCA, B.Voc., and Bachelor of Social Work degree courses at the undergraduate level The College also offers Diploma.

Eligibility Criteria
B.A. Studies/ Visual Communication
- Academic Qualification: A candidate who has passed the two years PreUniversity Examination with any combination conducted by the Karnataka PreUniversity Education Board or any other examination considered as equivalent by Bengaluru Central University
B.Sc Courses
- Academic Qualification: A candidate who has passed the two years PreUniversity Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent by Bengaluru Central University shall be eligible for admission to these programmes. Generally a candidate opting a subject should have studied that subject at the qualifying examination. For example, a candidate selecting PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) as optional subjects must have studied these subjects in the qualifying examination
Bachelor of Social Work
- Academic Qualification: A candidate who has passed the two years Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board or any other examination considered as equivalent by Bangalore Central University
BCA
- Academic Qualification: A candidate who has passed the two years Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in Karnataka or JODC / Three years Diploma in Engineering of Government of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent
All other Courses
- Academic Qualification: Candidates who have completed two years Pre - University Course of Karnataka state or its equivalent
