About
The University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) is a constituent department of Panjab University and has emerged as a premier legal Institute of the region within almost a decade of its establishment. The endeavor of the Institute is to train students in essence of substantive laws, techniques of procedural laws, methods of client counseling, skills in legal and social sciences research etc.

Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification: Any candidate who has already passed or appearing in March 2019 in the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD) from any recognized Board/University.
Exam Pattern
- Number of Questions: 100
- Marks allotted to each Question: 1
- Marks deducted for each wrong answer: 0.25
- Duration of the paper: 90 mins

Admit Card
The candidate shall be allowed to appear in the Entrance Test only on the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the Entrance Test without the production of the Admit Card under any circumstances. The candidate must retain the Admit Card with her/his till the admission process is over.

Selection Process
For B.A LL.B (Hons)
- Entrance Test: 50%
- Qualifying Examination (+2): 50% + Other admissible weightage
For B.Com LL.B (Hons)
- Entrance Test: 50% + with weightage for commerce subjects and other admissible weightage
