The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University was established by an Act passed by the parliament (No. 58 of 1994).The University offers graduate and post-graduate students the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as persons and professionals, and the values and sensitivity necessary to serve the society. The University distinguishes itself as a socially responsible learning community of high quality scholarship and academic rigor sustained by social justice and equity principles for which Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar worked during his lifetime.

Eligibility Criteria
BA (hons)/ B.Com (hons)/ BBA
Academic Qualification: Intermediate from any recognized college/University with 50% marks (45% for ST/SC/PwD candidates)
BBA.LLB
Academic Qualification: Candidate should have passed higher secondary school/ Intermediate examination (10+2) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD). Candidate awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.
B.Tech
Academic Qualification: Intermediate with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from recognized University
B.Sc Geology (hons)
Academic Qualification: Intermediate in Science with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD)
B.Sc-M.Sc Integrated (Basic Science)
Academic Qualification: Intermediate in PCM/ PCB with an aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD)
