The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

B.A. Entrance Test
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES
TISS-BAT is an Online Entrance Examination conducted in Remote Proctoring Assessment (RPA) mode with one-hour duration, having 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The BAT examination will be conducted on September 19, 2021 from 2.30 pm to 3.30pm. RPA means that you can attend the examination being at your location through online mode, monitored by examination invigilators (proctors) and based on the below requirements and instructions.
