Introduction

 

Planning may focus on a specific area of practice and person doing planning can have a title such as city planner, town planner, regional planner, long-range planner, transportation planner, infrastructure planner, environmental planner, parks planner, physical planner, health planner, planning analyst, urban designer, community development director, economic development specialist or other similar combinations. Throughout the course students gain skills like designing, numeracy, sketching and computer-aided designing.

  • This course of B.Planning study includes detailed information on Basic Town and District Planning, Basic Building Buildings, Planning Ideas, Housing and Residential, Real Estate Planning, Urban Migration, Urban Development, and Urban Planning.
  • This course strengthens students' communication and writing skills as well as versatility and flexibility in dealing with an unforeseen situation.
  • B.Planning is centred around CAD, art & advanced visual communication, water supply and sanitation, energy-efficient design, modular coordination, metropolitan planning, infrastructure planning and system management.
  • Planning graduates are employed in the private or public sector in the field of urban planning, housing planning, planning specialists in real estate firms, transportation, railways, roads, sewage, drainage, water supply sectors.

 

Eligibility

 

Candidates need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in any B.Planning college.

  • Candidates must pass 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Maths should be the main subject in 10+2.
  • Candidates need to clear their entrance exams to get admission to top colleges.

Job Prospects

 

  • Urban Planner: An urban planner may focus on a specific area of practice and have a title such as city planner, town planner, regional planner, long-range planner, transportation planner, infrastructure planner, environmental planner, parks planner, physical planner, health planner, planning analyst, urban designer, community development director, economic development specialist or other similar combinations.

 

  • Regional Planner: Regional planners do the same over a larger area consisting of several cities and towns. Simply put, Urban and Regional Planner make a decision as to where should parks, plazas, markets, schools, colleges, residential buildings, commercial buildings, bus stations, etc.

 

  • Project Planner: As a project planner, you will be primarily responsible for managing our construction projects from start to completion. You should be able to meet and discuss with clients their project requirements. Besides, you should ensure that the projects are completed on time and as per the assigned budget.

 

  • Interior Designer: The Interior Designer will create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces by assessing space requirements, determining optimal furniture placement, and selecting decorative items, all while adhering to relevant blueprint, building code, and inspection requirements.

 

  • Design Architect: A design architect, or Architectural Designer, is responsible for designing buildings to create unique and well-organized structures. Their duties include meeting with clients to discuss their vision, drawing up building plans and modifying their designs throughout the building process to maximize structural integrity.
