To practice as a dentist one must need at least a Bachelor's degree in Dental Science (BDS). There is no specialisation at the bachelor level. If you want your career to grow, then you will have to be a specialist with a Masters (MDS) degree.
Dentists or dental surgeons provide surgical, medical and other forms of treatment for oral and dental disorders and diseases by examining teeth and mouth of the patients.

SELECTION PROCESS

 

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2020 (NEET (UG) ) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.

 

• The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper 
• Indian Nationals of 17 years of age on December 31st of the Year of admission.
• Age should be below 25 Years.
• Candidates can opt for Question Paper in either of the following languages -
• HINDI /ENGLISH/ GUJARATI /MARATHI /ORIYA/ BENGALI /ASSAMESE /TELUGU /TAMIL/ KANNADA
• The number of attempts shall be limited to 3 (three)

 

* To be eligible for practice, one must ensure that the course chosen is approved by the Dental Council of INDIA
